(Poem by Sophia Shapira)
All hell breaks loose, and we are in the way.
We face a tide that’s way too fierce to stop.
Will some great miracle come save the day,
Or will we to our knees be forced to drop?
For no escape affords our tiny crew,
Too small to stand our ground amidst this horde
Whom never heart nor fear of justice knew.
We pray that we won’t perish to it’s sword.
No way to give a conscience to this beast,
As it’s a mere machine without a soul.
Our land lacks will to see this thing policed,
Allowing it to swallow people whole.
We brace ourselves as to it’s teeth we crash
So it can drain us all our blood and cash.
