Camping in Ohio

(Poem by Sophia Shapira)

A journey of a day and then a half by car it took
To get to where no GPS would ever dare to look –
‘Coz that was where we knew was best for meeting face to face –
Among the trees where life was strong and filling up the place.

  Camping in Ohio
  Learning to use the Force
Right next door to those who drive
The wagon pulled by horse –

  Meeting those I previously
  Knew just from Cyberspace –
So many worlds they all converged
  In one small, little place.

The fencing lesson taught to make a gain by giving in.
At times you must be ready to step back if you’re to win.
And then in meditation leading to the spirit world,
Other strengths and weaknesses within me were unfurled.

  Camping in Ohio
  Learning to use the Force
Right next door to those who drive
The wagon pulled by horse –

  Meeting those I previously
  Knew just from Cyberspace –
So many worlds they all converged
  In one small, little place.
